I had this photo for a meal ticket id. I liked the result so i asked for a copy for my file. Originally this was develped junion size and was stuck in one of my old wallets with other photos. The ugly marks on the sides shows that this photo is already old (non digital camera days)

March 21, 2010, Dimple's class (Phoenix 2o10), marched down the aisle on their graduation day. Their class got 37 pupils with Carlo Kurt leading as the President. Their Vice President religious is Showers and their VP Social is Shawn. She and Pia are the secretaries. I guess i need to have their batchbook so that i can enumerate all the officers of their class.

Their speakers are as follows: Consecration - Pastor Algier Ravelo, Head Chaplain of Mindanao Sanitarium and Hospital. Baccalaureate - Pastor Wilson C. Catolico, the Executive Secretary of South Philippine Union Conference of Seventh-Day Adventist. Commencement Speaker - Dr. Queruela, the Asst. Education Director of South Philippine Union Conference of SDA.

The seniors were emotional as some of them did not enjoy the picture taking after the recessional because they right away retreated to their classroom to cry. hehehe One uncle even joked that they were crying in happiness like they graduated from a masters course.

Dimple led the class in singing their consecration song. Then Saturday morning, Sabbath school time, she gave the Secretary's thought. I wished she memorized her part by heart. I did not like it much she was half reading, half memorizing her speech. She also sang with company several times that day. She gave me a bouquet of yellow roses. Not just me actually. All of them gave a bouquet of roses to the mommies and corsage to the fathers.

Dimple looks so happy on graduation day. She was all smiles before and and during the recessional. But as the hub mellowed, she then felt very tired. Tired yet she looked forward to the bonding time with her classmates. She had lunch with Lexie and for the afternoon until evening, they spent time at Pia's house.

Dimple got 4 medal awards. All gold. I was one proud mom that day. Not just day but everyday because am thankful I have a daughter like her. :) She got a gold for academics, for the SPUC Achievement Test, another for consistency, and one from the Mayor of Iligan City.

I still did not have a formal graduation pic with her. Possibly we will do it on Tuesday - after the busyness here in the office will be over.

This is a photo of me (sitting) and helen (chinese girl) and Liza (the smaller one) at the height of SARS in China. We don't look stressed up but we should be because our contract has just been cut due to the closure of schools. But even then our stress was paid off when we were given the chance to just stay to be able to find work. Indeed when the SARS scare was over, Liz and I were employed right away though in separate companies. Liz worked for the # 1 Hospital in Shizhiazhuang while i worked for English Campus. Thanks to Helen and family for all the support.

This was my highschool batchbook photo. Taken in March 1990.

I don't like my lips here. They looked so thick. My dentures were just put on a month before graduation and my mouth is still getting used to it. Dentures at 16? Yeah i had 3 upper front false teeth. My hair was really straight unlike now that they show its natural wave.

I am going to keep this photo because 4 years from now, my daughter will also have her year book or batch book photo taken and i will try to compare it.

I Slapped Her {feb 28, 2010]

She tested patience today to the max that it snapped. So i not able to control my hand. After pinching her on the shoulders she shouted at me so i have to slap her. I think she just need that at times from me so that she will remember where she should stand in this child-parent relationship. I know my mom is right that maybe am too lenient on her but I am not fan of always nagging her. I want her to grow up responsible so by that she should understand by only telling her once.

I dunno how painful was the slap but the thing was i did it infront of a dormitorian. Many times i have told her never to talk back at me infront of so many people. I even told her attitude to my mom and they have their talk from time to time yet when she is with me she retaliates and rebel although when everything is smooth she is also sweet. But somehow she is always sweet. I dunno how the hardness in her was cultivated. was it caused by the food, television, the movie she is watching, or her friends. I really dunno.

I wonder if there are also moms out there who is having some problems right now with their children especially the rebel ones. I wonder how they cope with it.

This is me and my daughter 5 years ago. Made of a digital shot but can still be called an "old" photo, so am using it for this week's FPF. Both of us are going to school. Me, first year in nursing as second courser and was in the 2nd grade.

Currently, i stopped nursing school 4 years ago to concentrate working here in the college where am suppose to enroll at, and Dimple is now in the 6th grade.

Some went up and some went down 2 points but it's ok. I just encouraged her to make better the last grading because who knows she will get the second place in her class. And with that we can get some tuition discounts if ever she can attend MMA.

Getting of Cards

It's getting of cards now but sad to note that i did not catch up the teacher. The teachers left so early. I did some errands first before proceeding to their school, but the teachers were out already. So i can see her third grading report card on Monday yet.

I felt relieved at the moment because as of today, I paid up all her school bills for AY 2009-2010. Paid up too her seniors fee. We will just all wait for the closing exercises as well as continue saving up for her entrance fee comes June.

Which school? I am not yet sure. But probably, she will just be here in Iligan. How i wish this paternity issue is already over and she is acknowledged. Am sure can be able to attend school at MMA.

This is my daughter during her Kindergarten Graduation. I was in China that time. I think she graduated in March 2004. In more or less 8 weeks from now, she will graduate in the 6th grade then she will enter High School comes June. How time really flies. I can now begin to start the years until I become a grandma. lol! Just joking.

Bonding Time

Last Friday, i told her that she comes home to the dormitory Saturday lunch so that we can lunch together, then rest, then attend AY and after AY we will go malling. Indeed we went malling! We went to the old Gaisano for the cloth (per her advice). Old Gaisano have more cloth daw. hahaa Really...so we went there and to our dismay the cloth section was already moved to the new Gaisano Mall. Toink! So off we went to Novo to check out if there is the sticker she wanted for her cellphone. Since there is none available and there is still enough time to catch the open Mall, we rode a sikadsikad to the Mall. It's raining yet we were semi walking-running til we reach the doors of the mall. We were scared it would be closed. We picked the cloth and then she brought me to the stores for "her generation." That's what she said. lol! Oh my there are stores for her generation then but checking out the prices of the items, they are not for me. lol! She told me what are the clothes she wanted to be added to her wardrobe (like she had one). There were a few on sale there but we both think to check out another mall because it might be cheaper there.

We don't have money to shop last night nor for the next days but at least I have now in mind what she wants. I then told her that since she is big now and are liking many things that I won't like, so she has to learn how to save more. I don't give her daily allowance because i can't afford but if i have i do give her -- so she has to save that until she can have enough to buy what she wants.

Which school to attend for high school is still an issue. Haiiii til next blogging time.

Third Grading & Piano K1 Examination

This is her last Third grading examination in the primary school. They started it yesterday (2 subjects) and will finish them all today.

I wished her good luck! I am hoping she will maintain her grades if she can't increase them. :)

After her school exams, she will be off to her piano school as today is also her examination in her K1 books. Then next week she will start her K2 books.

I have already started a blog for her way back when i started blogging (2007). But due to time constraints I deleted it. It was a wordpress. I never thought that I would come to a point of making one for her again.

Me and my daughter are seems in a situation where I need the maximize my understanding (she's now going on teen) this year and also she has also to understand me, being her mom who tries to be there for her as a mom and also a dad at the same time.
